Many times, as we progress in this industry, animals find their way into barns to accomplish big goals. Doing this we push our current processes, including tracking. Most of us track two to three times a week, but by adding more animals, it might create a need to track daily. With packed schedules this can add additional stress. So having a second dog can benefit you if you prefer or need to track just a few times a week due to work or extracurricular activities.
However, there is another benefit that also comes with having two dogs. Two dogs that have different personalities and styles – yin and yang. The Yin – a super dog that chases well, great on commands, that anyone can work, and never bites in the track. This dog is probably the dog you always want to use up to a big show, like a state fair, national show or in Texas- A Texas Major. Then the Yang - the enforcer dog. The dog that has lots of grit and doesn’t back down from a fight. These dogs can be more challenging for a novice handler, however, can be very beneficial for those animals that decide that don’t want to run or are looking to fight.
At L2 Track Dogs, we value our customers! In fact, many of you that have purchased your second L2 Track Dog can testify to us finding you exactly what your team needs to keep Tracking for Success!
If you have made a jump this year, and need to look at a second dog, give us a call. Whether it is a chaser with little to no bite or an enforcer, we will make sure you get a great dog at a fair price.
